Process Call for Papers: On Remoteness

Call for Papers: On Remoteness

Deadline: Monday, May 3, 2021

Process: Journal of Multidisciplinary Undergraduate Scholarship invites submissions for issue 5.3, On Remoteness. After a year of distance and isolation, how do we understand what it means to be remote? How has remoteness impacted our lives? Is isolation always lonely? For this issue, we welcome a wide range of approaches to the idea of remoteness, including:

  •  Remoteness and community
  •  Remote environments
  • Isolation and incarceration
  • Remote pasts
  • Contagion and confinement
  • Remote learning/remote communication
  • Loneliness
  • Remote technologies

This issue of Process will focus on remoteness, but we welcome submissions on any topic. Be aware that general submissions, if accepted, will be saved for a suitable future issue at the discretion of the editorial board. Questions may be directed to the editorial board at processj@uw.edu.
