Eleven and a Half

Read the latest edition of this literary magazine published by Lang Students.

Past editions:

The 2015 issue of Eleven and a Half, the student literary publication of Eugene Lang College, contains interviews with noted authors Chuck Klosterman and Emily Gould, translations by Lydia Davis, and fiction, poetry, translation, and non-fiction by over thirty student writers. A full-color portfolio features work by photographers Keith Tilford and Isabelle Wenzel.

A reading celebrating the recent issue will be held in the Lang Cafe on September 29 at 5pm. Issues will be distributed by Eleven and a Half . The magazine is free and all students are encouraged to pick up a copy and talk with staff members about this issue and plans for the next.

    Remembering Ann

    Remembering Ann

    Ann Snitow May 9, 1943-August 10, 2019 Ann Snitow, a founding faculty member of Lang College and the creator of the Gender Studies Program at the New School, passed away on August 10, 2019.  She was a beloved member of the Literary Studies faculty.  While indeed her books and essays are crucial texts in feminist studies and in the life of the mind, as Literary Studies colleagues our remembrances here are more personal, testaments not just to her work but to the power of her being.
